January's LAMMA marked the start of Hampton's 2013 show calendar and, despite the sub zero temperatures, business was reassuringly "as usual" for the influx of seasoned agricultural visitors.
As one of the UK's premier steel wire fencing manufacturers, Hampton Steel produce a wide range of products for the agricultural sector including equine fencing, hinge joint fencing, sheep netting and more recently Hampton NET™, but they are also one of the largest manufacturers of chain link fencing for the leisure, commercial and transport sectors.
With the in-house capability to produce galvanised and PVC coated chain link, and with wire diameters ranging from 2.5 mm to 3.55 mm for galvanised, including 2.5 and 3.15mm high tensile, and up to 4.75mm for plastic coated, perhaps then it's no surprise that Hampton's chain link forms the perimeter fencing for many tennis courts, football and hockey pitches, motorways and power stations across the UK. The quality of the wire and resilience of the mesh provide for a hassle free and cost effective fencing system requiring very little maintenance for many years.

We remove this uncertainty by extruding all the plastic for both our chain link and the accompanying line wires in-house. That way we have total ownership of product and full traceability." For a higher security option, Hampton's can also incorporate barbed tops and bottoms to both their PVC coated and galvanised chain link. This addition to the manufacturing process has given customers the option not to require supplementary lines of barbed wire; scaling or burrowing intruders may be deterred by the built in twisted barbs of the chain link.
